September 2009 - Freightex continues to expand
European road freight service provider, Freightex, is expanding its UK operations with an office near Manchester Airport.
Initially employing four account managers in the transport team, it expects to have 10 brokers there by March 2010.
Freightex now has four UK bases and over 26 account managers who between them speak more than 10 European languages,
ending the age-old problem of mis-understood messages.

July 2009 - Volumes up for Freightex
Volumes this quarter (to end of June 2009) for UK based, European road freight service provider, Freightex,
are up 23% on last year’s figures.
Attributing this increase in business to the combination of good service, competitive prices, and the fact
that customers are more prepared to try new suppliers due to cost pressure, Tim Phillips, CEO of Freightex
is optimistic about the future for his European freight service which is supported by a sophisticated freight exchange.

10th Septmber 2008 - Freightex expands with new Midlands office
Building on its success, Freightex has opened an office in Tipton, West Midlands.
Mark Silvester from logistics firm Rhenus has been recruited to manage the operation.
Primarily targeting Midlands-based companies, it will also support clients at Freightex’s
London and Dover offices as demand increases.

30th July 2008 - MOD renew contract with Freightex
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has renewed its contract with Freightex to use its
specialist software technology to optimise its road freight . The Freightex software
gives a real-time view of available loads and allows the MODs selected suppliers
to make offers to move the consignments on an open market basis. In this way the
MOD is able to demonstrate that it has purchased the load movement at true market
rates.

30th June 2008 - New CEO for Freightex
The full service freight exchange, Freightex, has recruited Tim Phillips as chief
executive

10th June 2008 - Moving the X4Freight brand forward
In order to better reflect its growth across Europe, one of the original freight
exchanges,
X4freight, is changing its name to Freightex on 24th June 2008.
It will continue to operate its successful exchange platform which matches unallocated
freight with empty vehicles, helping companies optimise road freight and vehicle
capacity
across Europe.
